How do I know when my node is fully synced
By cymon - 4 Dec 2017

Your node is fully synced when latestSolidSubtangleMilestoneIndex matches latestMilestoneIndex, see example below.

{
"appName": "IRI",

"latestSolidSubtangleMilestone": "VQWKBPLCJHHVEABNMZ9WKCWORNEYNQCSMSSLFEETXXHP9IDV9KMAUEIRNFIQS9EQZYNMPBUWBGCTA9999",
"latestSolidSubtangleMilestoneIndex": 295435,

When running the wallet as full node down you see two numbers and CPU.

The first number is the latestSolidSubtangleMilestoneIndex and the second number is the latestMilestoneIndex. These both should be identically for a fully synced node, as said before. In the wallet you could also press CTRL+I for "View Node Info". Both numbers are also shown there.
The above node is not fully synced
