As I can see in your link, it is not possible to trade IOTA against Ripple, I am kind of fan of Ripple. So I've been looking for an exchange that is secure, offers you to buy with a card and has a lot of different currencies listed. I think this one might shoot www.getex.com. However, it is going to be launched soon, not yet, so I can't tell you yet my opinion.

Yes, there are many new platforms today. On the one hand, I trust more well-known exchanges, because everybody knows them, you know... On the other hand, new projects offer better rates and upgrades. You never know until you try! I agree with you completely. The trustworthy and time-proven exchanges will be always popular for sure. But they also have some drawbacks and that's why appear the new exchanges that try to offer a more wide range of options.
