+x+x+x+xHello, I also have a problem with the transaction of my coin. I do not know if it is the same together as it was before with others. Also I have sent on 06.12.2019 1 Mi as the first test transaction to my ledger. Afterwards, I easily made further transactions. Since I updated the Trinitity Wallet a few weeks ago, this one transaction has always seemed incomplete to me, as if it keeps trying to send. Today I have easily transferred coins from my online wallet to my Trinity Wallet. I wanted to transfer these from there to my ledger. However, the same problem seems to be the case with the 1 Mi test. The 8.2 Gi are also on my main account (Trinity Wallet) with the note sending ... But nothing else happens. How can you proceed now? I would be very pleased about a quick feedback. I have recreated the wallet address and never used it twice. Perhaps this is where the bundle hash GHEGLQNLKHDAWCBHRFAIAEXJTGSXJWWDL9ELUCRLRCTOYUKCHZXYTWPKLCBLFWEZLRHLRHHU9APIS9TC helps The problem has resolved after I tried to pass the transaction on to the Tangle several times. The basic problem, however, is the 1 Mi test transaction, which was carried out and confirmed in December. This is still displayed in my history as pending and produced in the Trinity Wallet the problems @thetrailerThanks for the posts, and welcome to the forum. The bundle hash in your first post isn't found on the tangle explorer. Could you post the address that holds your balance so that we can take a look at it together? EDIT: My assumption is that you're seeing a pending transaction because it's one of two that were previously sent, and the other was subsequently confirmed. Pending transaction clones of this sort remain pending forever since the value has been transferred in the other confirmed transaction already. We can confirm this by taking a look at your address and transaction history though. Hi Winston, can you check the Bundle-Hash of that Transaction OGXKXI9WCHJVDNFAYZULTWKXGNHVHBKEGJQJLQIDNEDIFVPESVHWYXTGKKDDRVQEKARUAYJSVXQPD9ID9. It is very confusing and unsettling to constantly receive the message in the trinity wallet "transaction couldn´t be broadcasted". Thanks in advance for your answer Hi @thetrailer, I'm not Winston, but I’ll give it a shot anyway. The bundle you’ve posted has indeed been confirmed in December and there’s nothing special to it. If it still shows as pending in your history, please try this: Connect to this node: https://perma.iota.partners:443Then go to Account > Account Management > Tools > Manual synch. While you’re there you might also hit the Snapshot Transition button. If this doesn’t fix your issue, go to Account > Account Management > View Addresses and see if there's one or more addresses with balance that are red and crossed out. If you find one post it here and we'll take a look at it. However, the "transaction could not be broadcasted"-error sounds unrelated to your transaction history and more like a node problem. Selecting a different node might fix this. Try this one: https://nodes.thetangle.org:443.

Unfortunately there’s nothing I can tell you to fix this except maybe move back to the previous Trinity version that worked for you earlier. When such errors pop up right after a fresh release of a new Trinity version it’s always best to report these things to the Trinity devs directly in the #trinity discussion channel on Discord. This way they get an overview of whatever bugs might be in the new version. They can then either help you fix things on your device or you can provide useful info to help them fix the software on their end. I’ve seen a few people report the bugs you encounter already, so I suggest you join the Discord to follow the discussion. Here’s an invite link: https://discord.gg/hgbDnBd.

Good evening, I'm wondering if someone might point me in the right direction for trying to retrieve my IOTA. I've read and followed many of the instruction here but have no had any success. I made an IOTA withdrawal back in Aug '17 from Bitfinex to one of my IOTA addresses. I must have forgotten to keep checking whether it landed or not as it doesn't seem to have ever arrived. During a recent stocktake of my cryptos, I discovered it was not there so have begun trying to hunt it down. It appears to have been successfully sent from Bitfinex. This is the address that it was sent to. https://iotasear.ch/address/OI9MKTODJFDFEOODEWX9NCCWNAASBNUAVFHNKYQS9KOBDDYMVYR9ZIJNGSJGSQJVXBXGDGDTF9ROFWQCXFPYDHDGFChttps://iotasear.ch/transaction/METSISOKFD9ZVKSQJMACJRITCFDHPGEALWZTTMVEZEFKMCIHRQQLJOIHJM9VAUM9KQPYCBRUHRU999999I also recently setup the new Trinity wallet with my seed. It only listed 270Mi as my balance whereas it should be more than this. I noticed in that link, it has the correct withdrawal amount confirmed as reaching the address. I also notice that there is some activity from a Trinity wallet listed at the bottom also. This correlates to me setting it up last night and trying to retrieve my correct balance. I'm still unable to retrieve my funds after following all the instructions with the previous wallet address generation etc etc. I have not used or moved IOTA around much, I generated probably about 20 address without success. I have also checked the IOTA foundation custody addresses and found the address I withdrew it from Bitfinex to and it has an available next to it. I am 99.9% sure that the seed I'm using is related to this address, especially given the activity that is being displayed recently against that address I sent the IOTA to. I don't really have any expertise with the IOTA tangle other than my general technical expertise. If anyone is able to point me in the right direction towards something I haven't tried yet it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Thanks for providing so much info, this makes it easier to help you. But the tangle explorer you decided to use is practically worthless because it doesn’t show the full transaction history. Fortunately, we have options, so let’s look at your address on a better explorer: https://thetangle.org/address/OI9MKTODJFDFEOODEWX9NCCWNAASBNUAVFHNKYQS9KOBDDYMVYR9ZIJNGSJGSQJVXBXGDGDTF9ROFWQCXYou can see that your 979 Miota arrived perfectly fine on August 28th 2017. Then there’s an outgoing transaction on January 27th 2018, which moved your balance from this address. The transaction bundle shows that 709 Miota went somewhere else and the remainder of 270 Miota got sent to the next unused address of your own wallet. https://thetangle.org/bundle/SNFABAYTWBOVRXFNJFVDJFJFDTZWZOUYVNJCYFLYXEICKJLSUHZZTH9KGPVRRFTUJKWLLNKNDJX9WRBTZThe 270 Miota are still there and that’s the balance that you can see in Trinity. The 709 Miota have been sent further on and from the looks of it, I’d say they have been deposited to exchange. Could it be that you just forgot about this transaction because it was so long ago?

Hi Alexa,
Thanks so much for your response and assistance with this. What you've said all makes sense, including the part about it being possible that I forgot about a transaction. While it doesn't align with what I thought I did, it is entirely plausible!
Is there any way to work out if that address it was sent to is an exchange and which one it might be?
I'm certain my seed hasn't been compromised, especially given there is still 270 in there. I just thought the last movement I made of IOTA was from Bitfinex to my IOTA wallet. I'm obviously wrong though.
Either way, I appreciate your help and advice, the search continues! Thanks again for your willing and prompt assistance!

Sometimes our memory likes to play little tricks on us, you’re not the only one! And iotasear.ch adding to the confusion by just not showing all info available sure didn’t help either... I’d say I’m 99% sure that your funds ended up on some exchange, but there’s no way for me to tell which one it is. We did have a huge theft incident end of January 2018, but your transaction really doesn't look related to that. There have been a few cases though of stolen funds with a remainder being left behind in the victim's wallet. Probably to make it appear normal so nobody would believe the victims. But I've only seen this kind two or three times, so don't worry about that too much. Just try to remember which exchanges you’ve ever had an account with and then log into each of them to see what the deposit history tells you. If you had e-mail notifications enabled and didn’t delete these e-mails, you might also find a deposit confirmation notification in your e-mail account. At least we know that you need to look for something from end of January 2018. Good luck! Please let me know if you could find it...

Dear Forum Team, as many other people I have issues with having the correct balance in the Trinity wallet and the 2.5.7 version. Can you please check this transaction page and give me some info how to proceed to get the correct balance? https://thetangle.org/bundle/HSAMAGJSQTFEJBQCDKUGXTKSLAKHWORJNXDRZCQCWKLRJGFDPEHAKNJWCXLEHGEXSTLYUZTNJ9AAQVX9WBoth wallets show a balance of 70mi and the addresses are shown with a balance of 0. As I have read here you assume that some people might have sent their "missing" funds to an exchange. I have checked that but there is no deposit. And before I uninstalled the 2.5.7 version and an old version of the trinity wallet the balance was correct. Now the balance is not correct after installing them a few days ago. I know that it has nothing to do with in- or uninstalling. I just wanted to say that the balance was correct the last time I checked it. Thank you for your answer. Best, Visitor

Best, Visitor Hi @Visitor, welcome to Hello IOTA! When was the last time you checked your balance and it was correct? The bundle you’ve posted got confirmed on April 1st 2019, so your last check was probably before that, right? Now, what we can see is that 1 Gi got sent somewhere and the remainder of 70 Miota has been sent to the next unused address of your own wallet. If 70 Miota is the balance that you can see now, the address where the 1 Gi went is not part of the same account of yours. I’ll come back to where your funds might be later... However, 70 Miota technically is the correct balance now because this 1 Gi isn’t where it used to be anymore. When you look at the single transaction of that bundle you mentioned, you can see that there’s a tag „KILROY9WAS9HERE999999999999“ and the message „Kilroy was here“ with a little picture: https://thetangle.org/transaction/VKX9WX9FKNNOXREBD9VHAJFHKXBCBRFIEVFYKFLAGTWSGNXFPWPVHUJYRNQVBLPE9BCRGKEBWWSHZ9999When you click on the tag, you’ll see that there’s literally hundreds of transactions with the same tag. We don’t know who Kilroy is, but we know what he does. Kilroy simply looks for old, unconfirmed transactions that are still pending and he reattaches them to get them confirmed. The good news is that because it doesn’t require any signature, a reattached transaction can never be altered to be different from the original. Therefore, your 1 Gi ended up on the same address that you originally tried to send them to yourself at some point in the past. In most cases we can see the original transaction on thetangle.org and determine when the initial transfer was attempted. We don’t see the original in your case. But we know that thetangle.org's database didn’t keep any unconfirmed transactions before December 2017, so I’d guess that November or December 2017 should be the time of your original transfer attempt. It’s invisible on thetangle.org, but it did happen. What you need to do now is please try to remember where you attempted to send exactly 1 Gi to end of 2017 (or maybe early 2018). I know it’s been a long time ago, but your funds are exactly at the address where you tried to send them to back then. There’s no way for me to tell if that’s an exchange deposit address or an address of another account of yours or something else entirely. It could very well be an exchange address though. Exchanges don’t check regularly on addresses that are as old as 2017. They simply might not have noticed that a deposit arrived months later than it should have and therefore not credited it to your account. Please check your exchange account’s deposit history to see if this address shows up: VOUXOSKTXLBJGVITVGSIYNBLAKRIYBHBF9XNHHMGPQBPYTTFNOLYBNDOZMSWJJTDAKKXYIKPPCSEKGSXBBD9EFUDX9 If it doesn’t but you think it’s possible that you did try to send 1 Gi to an exchange, open a ticket and ask them to check if that’s their address or not. I hope you can figure this out, I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Dear Alexa, I opened a ticket and asked the exchange if the address in one of theirs. It is! The transaction will soon be processed by them. So, I was another one who sent some funds to an exchange and forgot it
Thanks for your help.

@VisitorAwesome, thanks for the update! It's truly astounding how often this happens! Kilroy's actions can be quite annoying, but I think he also tries to "teach" people in his own weird way. It's even possible that someone steals funds that were sent to an exchange but kept pending for too long by forcing a reuse of the deposit address. With that in mind, you got really lucky this time. Kilroy's lesson to be learned here is: don't allow transactions to stay pending for longer than necessary or you might lose control over your funds.

Hi 👋 ! About a year ago, after updating (snapshot) the wallet, I lost coins. After a long correspondence, I still could not understand how to restore them. At the moment I have
2 wallet addresses with money confirmation that there is money in the wallet in the snapshot
I was trying to make some actions by instruction. Created new wallet but there i didn't have money too.
What information should i give to you and how can i return my money back?

Hi I have an old PC with wallet version 2.5.4.I have not opened this wallet since late in 2017 (Dec) when I know the funds were there. I just installed Trinity on my new PC but of course when I open Trinity and enter the seed the balance is 0. Snapshot transition and manual sync did not show the balance. What should my first step in the process of finding the iota? Do I need to just use Trinity or will I need to use the old PC and version 2.5.4 of the light wallet for any reason. Worried to proceed without advise, I'm pretty much a newbie and read the above post but still confused thanks.

HI, I'm not able to recover my IOTAS. Please, can anyone help me ??? (details below) THANKS IN ADVANCE !!! I look forward to hearing from you. Best regards.
Details: I moved 306000 Miota’s from slack bot to IOTA wallet and, after commissions, my final balance was 302940 Miota’s. And after that, no more transactions were made by me. My address, balance and status at IOTA snapshot validation 2017-10-23 were: - HYSGBBBGLSASNTSRQQXIUE9LCXYDGCZYIMSVJEZRWOQRTGQMSQQFBXLXFQWCLKANREVTNYSQFNXMSKWPH - 302940000000 - CURL_NOT_TRANSITIONED Therefore, I supposed that IOTA Foundation took custody of my funds and I used the reclaim tool to reclaim my funds (phase 1 proof & phase 2 reveal) However my balance still remain 0 (old seed & new seed)

+x+xhi, thanks for yours detailed explanations. i hope you can help me. after reading your post i conclude that my iotas must be retained by the foundation. therefore i've just made the reclaim process 4 days ago. i still doesn't received my iotas. is this normal? how many time foundation take in order to make the transaction to the new address? thanks in advance for your help and attention. @pormif Thanks for the post, and welcome to the forum. The reclaim process was completed many months ago, and funds that were not reclaimed were donated as per the IF's protocol. If you post your address here, we can take a look at it together to figure out your situation. Hi, I'm so surprised. I do not remember reading any about deadlines and I've tried to recover my Iotas months and months ago. Anyway thanks for your support and I send you more information. Best regards. I moved 306000 Miota’s from slack bot to IOTA wallet and, after commissions, my final balance was 302940 Miota’s. And after that, no more transactions were made by me. Hello,
First of all, I am sorry for my English. This is a French guy English. And also, thank you for this very helpful forum, and this particularly post.
So my problem seems to be common: I have a IOTA zero balance problem. I read a lot about this online, tried many technics, but still have this zero balance under my seed.
Here is what I did:
- I bought some IOTA on Binance in January 2018 - I generate a seed (don’t remember witch way) and download Iota Light Wallet - I sent my IOTA from Binance to my wallet on January 2018 the 23th. Binance historic give this information for this: - Adresse: YJJ9TYDXS9QDIJ9ZUWJDQPGMVRKFGQZQWUC9XHWHFLQEOKTIDKDUHQHLCSKWCALKDFKXTVOJJIOHTBDKAYSCTTZKMW Txid: 9TZPBKMQENXGSNIRGXURGGCKNYTYDHILSEJFIH9SJKB9IAXXIZCEOPFELWP9DRICNAXYSLH9UMDK99999
- I waited until IOTA were on my wallet then I did nothing else until today - Today, my wallet shows a zero balance, and there was no history - I downloaded the last release of the light wallet (2.5.7) and opened it with my seed - I went to Receive and click Attach to Tangle, then generated and attached more than 120 new addresses - I downloaded Trinity wallet, created an account with my seed, try several Snapshot Transition or manual Sync - On Trinity, addresses shows a lot, but one (the second one from the bottom) is red and strikethrough:
YJJ9TYDXS9QDIJ9ZUWJDQPGMVRKFGQZQWUC9XHWHFLQEOKTIDKDUHQHLCSKWCALKDFKXTVOJJIOHTBDKAYSCTTZKMW
I realize (just now!) that this is the same address than that use on Binance to send my Iota to my wallet... Is it telling about what is wrong with my IOTA balance ?
- I went back to Light Wallet and did a Reclaim Tool, using a new seed
At the end, still have zero balance on both seeds.
Please, I don’t know what else I can do to recover my IOTA. Any help would be very appreciated.

Hello everyone! I faced up quite unusual problem with my IOTA wallet. I have recently bought about 12,3 GI on bitfinex and transferred it to my wallet with two transaction (7,5 and 4,8 GI). I restored my balance (12.3 GI) successfully after a snapshot 2.5.1 in September. Then one of my friends send me 300 MI and I got it and had a balance approx. 12.6 GI. This is only input transactions I had ever had on this wallet. But after 2.5.2 something went wrong. I tried to reattach my addresses again and failed. I managed to restore only last 300 MI, but not the rest 12.3 (although first two addresses were absolutely correct I checked it on bitfinex in “Withdraw” tab). I made more than 20 reattaches Just in case, but nothing happened. Then I went to explorer and tried to find one of my addresses there. I found it, but balance was zero (although it didn't use to be before last snapshot). I went to ipfs to find out if the the IOTA foundation has taken custody of my funds. Unfortunately, the category was “NONE”, but balance was correct! Now I have no idea where my IOTAs can be. My only guess is they were automatically transferred to new address, which couldn’t be found by my wallet. The only reason for this could be my unconfirmed transaction, which I have tried to complete even before 2.5.1, but after I had had 12.3 GI on my balance. But then I can’t understand why I have managed to restore it after 2.5.1. Does somebody has a guess where my IOTAs can be and how to restore it. And do you think it makes sense to reclaim it now?

Hello,
I had iota on trinity on 3 different addresses. The balance was correct. I transferred the iota from binance to trinity to a new address and the balance was incorrect.
I tried sync and snapshot but the balance is incorrect. I see the balance only the last transferred iota.
My adress.
