Hi all,

What have they done to Java for Windows? Older versions of the JRE are not available without signing in and filling out a bunch of info so they can suck up data on who is using it. The JRE for the current version (12.01) is not available for download at all. Yet, in some bizarre blinkered policy, the JDK is still available. Why? It can't be run without the corresponding JRE. Do you now have to pay some license fee or sign up for a surveillance account to be allowed to download the JRE now? What is going on with Java?
